Front-End Developer (Angular)

We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team. 💻

We are a Dutch-Portuguese software development company with offices in Lisbon and Porto, and this front-end role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a supportive and international environment. As part of our team, you will help build and evolve web applications that connect users to automated systems in the agri-tech domain, making sure that what happens behind the scenes is presented in a way that is intuitive and dependable. This is not just a role where you will build interfaces, but also an opportunity to take ownership of front-end topics, contribute to technical decisions, and work on solutions with real impact. Our work has a strong international focus, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Europe, gain experience in a multicultural setting, and continue developing both your technical and professional abilities. As we continue to grow, you will also have the chance to expand your responsibilities over time and play an important part in our future success.

🌍 This opportunity is based in Porto and follows a hybrid working model, so we are happy to hire candidates who are available to come to the office regularly.

💡 Your daily responsibilities include:

• Build, test, and maintain Angular applications, working with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS on a daily basis.

• Apply modern Angular practices, such as standalone components and the new control flow syntax, keeping the codebase up to date and easy to evolve.

• Turn functional requirements and UI designs into clean, scalable code, and take part in discussions about front-end architecture.

• Be responsible for front-end features from start to finish, and help keep quality high through code reviews and automated testing (unit and integration).

• Work hand in hand with product owners, UX/UI designers, and engineers from other disciplines to deliver a coherent experience across the product.

• Work according to Agile Scrum methodologies.

💼 Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in front-end development.

• Good knowledge of Angular (preferably Angular 17 or newer), including standalone components and control flow syntax.

• Solid knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS.

• Experience working with APIs and design systems.

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD tools.

• Experience with unit and integration testing in front-end applications.

• Good communication skills in English.

• A system-level mindset: you understand how the front-end connects to the rest of the product, not only the screen you are working on.

• Proactive attitude, critical thinking, and willingness to bring your own ideas to the table.

➕ Nice to have:

• Experience building cross-platform applications with Electron and/or Capacitor.

👩‍💻 Our recruitment process consists of three distinct steps, each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and alignment with the organization:

Stage 1 - 30-minute conversation with a Recruiter.

Stage 2 - 1-hour technical conversation with members of the engineering team.

Stage 3 - 1-hour conversation with our Project Director.

🚀 Last but not least:

📚 Willingness to learn: We cherish a spirit of continuous learning, where curiosity is not just welcomed but celebrated. We are always eager to expand our horizons, acquire new skills, and stay ahead of industry trends.

🎉 Healthy dose of fun: Amidst our dedication to excellence, we never forget the importance of fun. We cultivate a lively atmosphere where creativity thrives, and laughter is an integral part of our everyday experience.

At ICT Strypes, we don't just work together: we grow, innovate, and enjoy the journey together, embracing these values as the heartbeat of our vibrant company culture.
